Biography

Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Gene learned the game of golf from John Scheffler at Eastward Ho Country Club.  John had served as a long time assistant to Jack Grout who taught Jack Nicklaus.  After completing his education at Ferris State University's Professional Golf Management Program as well as a successful amateur golf career he turned professional and had the opportunity to work with 10 of golf magazines top 100 instructors.  In 1996 he earned his PGA membership and has since served four clubs as their Head Golf Professional.

Teaching professionally for 20 years, Gene splits his time between Martha's Vineyard and Hobe Sound Florida.  Gene has been married to his wife Peggy for 17 years and they have a 5 year old son Nathaniel.
